Teacher Advisory is a class for students to enhance their learning skills with 20 minutes of Silent Sustained Reading. The Teacher Advisory class is also the time when students watch announcements and a student news program called Channel 1.
This year the Oquirrh Hills Middle School debate team will be meeting during my Teacher Advisory class. Although we will not follow the same format of the 20 minutes of silent sustained reading, the time we spend with doing research and discussing current events should more than comply with the reading requirements for this class.
