Mr. Lewis teaches Algebra and Pre-Algebra and he is our department chair.
Mr. Lewis is a graduate of San Diego State University where he received both his Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics and Master of Arts in Education. He joins us from southern California where he was in education for over 30 years. For the past two years, Mr. Lewis has been part of the dynamic math department at OHMS. Mr. Hinz teaches Pre-Algebra and Math 7.
Mr. Hinz graduated from the University Iowa and Received a Master's degree from the University of Utah. He has been teaching in Jordan School District for 20 years. This is his fifth year teaching at Oquirrh Hills Middle School.
Mrs. Chalmers teaches Algebra, Algebra 2, and Geometry.
Mrs. Chalmers graduate of Brigham Young University where she received a degree in Math Education. She is in her fourth year of teaching at Oquirrh Hills Middle School.
Mr. Haag is a graduate of Montana State University with a B.S. in Mathematics and a History teaching minor. He is in his third year at Oquirrh Hills Middle School and his hobbies include singing, basketball, ping pong, and Frisbee golf.
Mrs. Beltran Teaches Pre-Algebra and Spanish.
Mrs. Beltran graduated from Brigham Young University in 1995 with a Master’s degree (in Teaching English as a second language). She also has a Bachelor’s degree in Spanish from Brigham Young University. She has been teaching in Jordan School District for 12 years (ESL, Spanish, Math, and Science) and previously taught ESL for 15 years at Brigham Young University, in junior colleges and for community education.
Mr. Clark Teaches Math 7, Algebra, and Pre-Algebra.
